As industrial DEF experts, we provide both custom and pre-engineered DEF solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Our insulated DEF tanks are designed to perform in extreme cold or hot environments, and can be easily relocated, upgraded, and optimized to meet the evolving needs of your operations. With integrated DEF dispensing capabilities, our turnkey modules are ideal for a wide range of applications.
The Innoflo DEF-1000 Line is a modular, upgradeable solution designed specifically for DEF storage and dispensing at mine sites. Each module includes a drip tray with a sump sensor, low-temperature and low-tank-level warnings for added safety. DEF is stored in either totes or tanks, with a stainless-steel pump delivering fluid through a high-quality filter, before it is dispensed via hose reels.
These hose reels can be housed within the module and accessed through a small doorway or positioned remotely. Remote reels can be installed in separate heated buildings or weatherproof dispensers. Each reel can be equipped with a meter and solenoid, enabling dispensing control through any fluid management system. We recommend the AdaptFMS system by FluidIntel for optimal fluid management.
DEF consumption is projected to increase in the coming years. To accommodate this growth, storage and dispensing systems can be easily reconfigured without replacing the base unit. Each module is designed to offer low-flow dispensing at 25 LPM (6.6 GPM) for service trucks and auxiliary equipment, as well as high-flow dispensing at 100 LPM (26 GPM) for heavy haul trucks. The entire system is housed in a standard 10-ft ISO shipping container, equipped with R20 insulation and a heater to ensure reliable operation in cold climates.
The modules are built to meet PEI/RP1100-15 standards for DEF handling. They feature a 1.5″ Finish Thompson magnetic drive centrifugal pump, known for its leak-free operation due to the absence of rotating seals. Cleanliness is crucial to protect valuable Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) equipment, and a stainless-steel filter vessel with 1-micron filter elements ensures the DEF meets ISO 22241-1 purity standards.
Our DEF tanks are equipped with advanced filtration systems designed to prevent contamination and ensure your equipment operates at peak efficiency.
With bulk DEF storage capacities starting at 1,000 litres and scalable to larger volumes, storage capacity will never be a limitation. Our modules are fully upgradeable to accommodate your evolving needs. Whether you require 1,000 litres today or 60,000 litres in the future, we can handle all aspects of the expansion, including adding external storage tanks to our DEF dispensing skid.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) has a strong tendency to seep through small openings and crystallize when exposed to open air. To minimize this, connections with elastomeric seals should be used wherever possible. If threaded connections are unavoidable, a specialized thread sealant should be applied.
Magnetic drive pumps are recommended as they do not use dynamic seals, which can lead to slow leakage and crystallization buildup. Although some leakage and crystallization may still occur, equipment connections should be routinely rinsed with deionized or distilled water as part of a regular preventative maintenance program.
